Care Tips for Your Jewelry

That you can enjoy your jewelery for a long time, we recommend that you follow a few simple care instructions. It depends which material your jewelry is made of. In our product descriptions, you can find all the information which material we use for each piece. 

Gold Plated Jewelry

Avoid contact with water, sweat or perfume to keep the shine and golden tone in the long term. We recommend that you remove your jewelry before showering, bathing or swimming.

Ideally, you should store your gold plated jewelry in a dry and clean environment, such as your FREDERIK SUE pouch.

Especially if you are traveling and want to take different pieces of jewelry with you, we recommend that you transport the pieces in small bags so that they cannot damage each other.


Sterling silver jewelry

Our sterling silver jewelry is solid silver that can shine for a lifetime, but it needs still a little help that it can't oxidate, it shouldn't get in contact with water. From time to time it's good if you clean your jewelry item with a soft piece of fabric.


Jewelry made of stainless steel

Stainless steel does not tarnish and is water resistant. So you can look carefree on a beach holiday by the sea.


Jewelry with millefiori beads or lampwork beads (also applies to Bohemian glass beads)

Many of our pieces are made with handcrafted lampwork beads or millefiori beads. These are made of glass and are therefore fragile. You should be careful with these pieces and shouldn't drop them on hard surfaces.
